Spur is a UX project centered around accessibility, both in design and in life. Most people are probably familiar with apps like Ticketmaster and Eventbrite that allow users to both find events and purchase tickets for those events. Most people are also familiar with other apps such as Yelp that are used for members of the community to share their thoughts and ratings of various establishments. Spur sought to combine those two ideas, but with a spin on accessibility.

Spur allows users to search for local events to attend using a variety of filters that assess accessibility features of the venues. Users can read and leave their own star rating and written description or review of local venues, scoring them on their accessibility features. Additionally, Spur also allows users to purchase and store tickets in-app for ease of use. The whole app is also designed with accessibility in mind, with intentional use of legible fonts, simplicity of use, and appropriate contrast.
